In the early 20th century my paternal grandparents, Richard Kallman and Lydia Abrahamson, immigrated from Sweden, coming to a new life in Chicago. I've been researching my family for over twenty five years. ANOTHER SUNDAY....ANOTHER SWEDISH PROVERB
"Delad glädje är dubbel glädje, delad sorg är halverad sorg."
Literal translation: Shared joy is a double joy, shared sorrow is half a sorrow.
