In the early 20th century my paternal grandparents, Rikard Severin Källman (1887-1968) and Lydia Abrahamson (1890-1978) immigrated from Sweden. I am exploring my Swedish ancestors immigrant journey to "Amerika" and life in Swedish Chicago. I am searching for cousins everywhere to share family stories, pictures, memories and new discoveries about our Swedish heritage and our family today.

~ This blog, like my family tree, is always a work in process. Please stop back now and again! ~

Another American in the Family

My Swedish grandparents and their siblings came to the U.S. in the early part of the 20th century.
Since then others have come to the U.S. and have become part of our now hugh American family. My husband for one. He was born in Germany, came to the U.S. as a child with his parents and older sister, and is now a proud naturalized citizen.

Those "shakey leaves" that advertises constantly on T.V. every now and then give me a nice surprise. This popped up today.
Carlos Angeles, his petition for naturalization.  I did not know until recently, and I was sad to hear from a cousin, that he passed away last year.
