I am a little confused here. I know my father often said that my grandfather Richard Kallman was a "body and fender man". but I never recall my dad speaking of grandpa owning his own business. Yet here is. This is definitely grandma and grandpa posing in front of a large sign reading "Kallman and Sons Body and Fender Shop"? And sons indicates both my Dad and Uncle Albin were involved but funny it was never mentioned, to me anyway By the 1940 census the family was out on a farm in Lake Zurich and Albin was married so I date this photo to the 30's?
Any of you cousins have any input or thoughts on this business?
