A popular swimming site in Östra Frölunda can be found on Lake Vitasjön
Cousin Ingemar sent me a lovely book of photos of the old historic Östra Frölunda* and those that lived there. I skimmed through it before but I just today noticed this photo. I just love knowing that our ancestors were not as "tightly wound" as they often appeared in those old, serious, photos.

For what it is worth, I have noticed when visiting family in Norway that particularly children and young folk do often swim in the buff. They do not view the human form negatively yet in other ways are far more reserved and less foul than many Americans are. Then again, could the young Gösta ever have even remotely imagined that years from then, his future descendants or cousins up to three and four generations removed, in another country no less, could view this picture of him? Let alone it was published in a book*?
