In the early 20th century my paternal grandparents, Rikard Severin Källman (1887-1968) and Lydia Abrahamson (1890-1978) immigrated from Sweden. I am exploring my Swedish ancestors immigrant journey to "Amerika" and life in Swedish Chicago. I am searching for cousins everywhere to share family stories, pictures, memories and new discoveries about our Swedish heritage and our family today.

~ This blog, like my family tree, is always a work in process. Please stop back now and again! ~

Great Grandma Anna Karolina feeds the chickens

Another photo submitted by cousin Robert. Although unidentified he believed it to be our great grandmother Anna Karolina. Looking at the home in the backround and comparing it to a known photo of the Abrahamsson home in Östra Frölunda, I believe he is right. I would guess this photo was taken perhaps around 1920.

The style, window trim and stone foundation of this 1900 photo of the
Abrahamsson home, I believe, matches the above photo.

Thank you cousin Robert!

  1. Anna's grandson, Knut Andersson, has positively identified this photo as that of his grandmother. His mother Ester showed him a copy of this same photo when he was younger, Thank you Knut!
